Please read and note the guidelines on the usage of data derived from the Chromosome Abnormality database (CAD)
- Information is provided on condition that all contributing laboratories are consulted and give their permission prior to the use of their data in any publication.
- The Chromosome Abnormality Database must be informed before any steps are taken to publish data derived from the Chromosome Abnormality Database.
- The contributing laboratory and 'The Chromosome Abnormality Database Funded by BDF Newlife' must always be acknowledged in publications and presentations.
- The CAD accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of data. Independent confirmation must always be sought from the submitting laboratories.
- Repeat samples from the same patient will appear as separate records in the database, and so the CAD is unsuitable for quantitative studies.
- ISCN karyotypic nomenclature may be wrong in some of the records. To avoid introducing further error, corrections have not been made by the CAD to the data received from contributing laboratories.
- The CAD, BDF Newlife and the ORH NHS Trust accept no responsibility for the interpretation of data.
